Northern Indiana Hand and Wrist
Northern Indiana Hand & Wrist Center, the office of Dr. John H. Mahon, just celebrated the one year anniversary of its South Bend location! As many of you know, Dr. Mahon began his hand surgery practice in South Bend in 1990 and continued here through 2007. During that time, he developed the hand surgery program at the South Bend Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Clinic and served as the hand surgery consultant to the varsity athletics program at the University of Notre Dame. Additionally, he was an instructor at the Indiana University Medical School upper extremity anatomy course and with the South Bend Family Practice residency programs.
His time in Indiana was interrupted by service in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Storm when he was assigned to the San Diego Naval Hospital, and a more recent three-year relocation to Colorado where he established the Northern Colorado Hand & Wrist Center.
He is happy to be back in Indiana and celebrating Northern Indiana Hand & Wrist Center’s one year anniversary at the University Commons Medical Plaza. This main office serves the greater Michiana area including South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, Plymouth, and Bremen as well as our neighboring southern Michigan communities including Niles, Edwardsburg and Cassopolis.
In only one year, Northern Indiana Hand & Wrist Center has grown to include a satellite office location in LaPorte, Indiana. By having this second location, Dr. Mahon is able to conveniently serve patients living in LaPorte, Michigan City, and New Buffalo.
